Join us for a special wine dinner featuring a mash-up of Asian goodness with Italian craft wines! Yeah, we know...that sounds CRAZY, but we have a secret weapon in this instance! Master Sommelier Brett Davis, who has paired the unique dishes created by Chefs Kristian Niemi and Alex Strickland from The Dragon Room with wines from around Italy that will ROCK YOUR SOCKS!
Brett is the Sales & Education Director for Maze Row, an importer and marketer of luxury wines with an emphasis on prestigious family owned wineries across the globe. In 2009, Brett passed the Court of Master Sommeliers’ diploma level exam and earned the title of Master Sommelier. Just over two hundred fifty individuals worldwide have earned this certification over its fifty-year history. In addition to his current role, Brett consults with restaurateurs, wholesalers and retailers nationally with beverage and service training. He consults with start-up brands creating new products, advising on flavor profiles and development. Considered one of the resident whiskey and spirits experts for the Court of Master Sommeliers, he judges spirits contests, gives regular lectures and proctors monthly exams for others going through the certification process. But don't think he's some stuffy jerk who wears a goofy cup on a chain around his neck and scoffs at anyone who doesn't know the difference between Primitivo and Zinfandel. Quite the opposite, in fact. Brett cut his teeth like the rest of us hospitality shlubs...working every position in restaurants until he was managing them. In other words, he's a working stiff's version of a Somm...down to earth and ready to have fun with grape juice!

Our newest venue, The FarmHouse, is an intimate space at City Roots Urban Farm on Airport Boulevard. It's the perfect space for small dinners (up to 42), cocktail parties (up to 60), and daytime lunch meetings.
Tickets are $125 tax and gratuity not included. Percentage of the ticket price supports The Charitable Plate 501c3 whose goal is to shepherd talent in the midlands community by providing scholarships to fund the advancement and growth of future chefs, farmers, and educational pursuits to strengthen our local food system AND provide support to workers in times of crisis.
