Pinot Noir. Medium bodied, but ever so complex. Responsible for “everyday” wines you can enjoy with nearly any meal to wines you sip, savor, and contemplate with other wine lovers. A varietal found in some of the most expensive and sought after bottles in the world. Join us for an unforgettable event featuring the Pinot Noirs of Sanford Vineyards with Lee Platt, a Certified Sommelier and Certified Specialist of Wine from Terlato Wine Group. He will be working closely with Chef Kristian Niemi from Bourbon/Black Rooster/The Dragon Room/F2T Productions who has crafted a very local menu to pair with the wines. Lee will present three Pinot Noirs from one of California’s most iconic vineyards, Sanford Vineyards, the first winery to lay down roots in the Santa Rita Hills. Beginning in the 1980s, Sanford  planted and maintained their vineyards using organic farming practices. Since the beginning, Sanford has produced some of the finest Pinot Noirs in California and was named one of the Top 5 vineyards in the United States by Wine Spectator. Their biggest “moment” was being featured in the wine-centric movie “Sideways” with Paul Giamatti, which literally killed Merlot throughout the world.
